Request an account

Mekaplus has no online sign-up: an account is created on request by the Mekaplus team (Vehitis). The Request an account link on the sign-in screen (or the Request an account button on the website) opens a page that explains what to do.

1. Write to us at the address shown (contact@mekaplus.fr), giving your name, your email address and the name of your garage.
2. The Mekaplus team creates your account and your garage, then sends you a welcome email.
3. You choose your password from that email, then complete your garage’s information: the account becomes active.

A demonstration account can also be created at your request: its garage is active right away and filled with sample data, with no legal information to provide. It is not meant for real invoicing.

Choose your password

The welcome email contains a Choose my password button.

1. Click the button: the Welcome to Mekaplus screen opens.
2. Enter a password of at least 10 characters, then confirm it.
3. Mekaplus signs you in and takes you to the screen where you complete your garage.

The link can be used only once and expires after 72 hours. If it has expired, has already been used or the Mekaplus team has sent you a more recent one, the Link expired screen appears: write to contact@mekaplus.fr and we will send you a new one. If you have already chosen your password, simply sign in. After several attempts in a short time from the same internet connection, the Too many attempts screen asks you to try again later.

Confirm your address

Choosing your password from the welcome email confirms your address: there is nothing else to do. The Check your email screen appears when Mekaplus sends you a link (sign-in link, forgotten password); the message is the same whether or not the address is known, because Mekaplus never reveals whether an account exists. Remember to check your spam folder.

Sign in

There are two ways to sign in:

• With your password (default);
• With a link sent by email: choose “Sign in with a link sent by email”, enter your address, then click the link you receive. It is valid for 10 minutes and can only be used once.

If your account is protected by two-factor authentication, Mekaplus then asks for the 6-digit code from your authenticator app (or a backup code). Signing in with a link is not available for these accounts.

Workshop member sign-in

A workshop member (mechanic, workshop device) has no email address: they sign in from their garage’s sign-in address, of the form /g/<key>, given by the administrator (bookmark or QR code on the workshop device).

1. Open the garage’s sign-in address: the garage name is shown.
2. Enter your username (case does not matter) and your password.
3. Choose Sign in: Mekaplus opens your garage directly.

The session lasts at most 14 days after its last use. An unknown username and a wrong password give the same message; after 5 failures in a row, sign-in is blocked for a short while, as for an email address. There is no forgotten-password flow or email link: if you forget your password, ask your garage’s administrator to change it. If the address shows Unknown address, the garage has changed its key: ask for the new address. Back to your garage when you sign in

When you sign in again (password, link or two-factor code), Mekaplus automatically opens one of your garages: the one you have been a member of most recently. Suspended garages are skipped. You can switch at any time from the garage name at the top left. If you are not a member of any active garage, Mekaplus invites you to contact the team to request an account.

Forgot your password

1. On the sign-in screen, choose Forgot your password?.
2. Enter your email address. If an account exists, an email containing a link valid for one hour is sent to you; the message shown is identical in all cases.
3. Open the link and choose a new password (at least 10 characters). Your other devices are signed out.

If the link has expired or has already been used, simply request a new one.

Temporary lockout

After several failed sign-in attempts (5 incorrect passwords in a row), signing in is blocked for a short time: first one minute, then longer and longer if there are further failures. Wait for the indicated delay to end or use “Forgot your password?”. A successful sign-in resets the counter.

Suspended account

If your account has been suspended, signing in shows a message asking you to contact Mekaplus support.
